Winter in Wolong

Winter in Wolong David Shepherd Art

“The panda, like so many other endangered mammals, is on the very brink of extinction, primarily through the loss of habitat due to human encroachment. The remaining pandas in the wild, numbering possibly no more than a few hundred, live in the remote and evermore threatened areas of China and Wolong Nature Reserve is one of their last strongholds. The destruction of the forest continues at an ever-increasing pace due to indiscriminate logging; nevertheless we still hope that there is a chance for these fascinating mammals to survive in the wild, as they so richly deserve.”

£30,000 will be donated from the sale of this print to The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and will be used in the fight against poaching and other local community projects in Africa and Asia.
