To commemorate the 1st and 2nd position of Hermann Lang & Rudolf Caraciola in the 1939 Tripoli Grand Prix both driving a Mercedes W165. This was the third successive victory for Lang in the Tripoli Grand Prix and he won at an average speed of 122.91 mph
