Throughout the six years of World War II the Spitfire and Me109 were locked in combat. In the annals of aerial conflict no two such evenly matched aircraft have fought so consistently over such a sustained period of time with so much distinction.
Robert Taylor, master of portrayal of the aircraft in its element, offers us this magnificent rendition of Spitfires and Me109s in combat, during the intense air battles of 1940.
