Battleship – Bismarck

The sinking of HMS Hood, once the largest ship in the Royal Navy, by The Bismarck brought the wrath of the Royal Navy’s Atlantic Fleet down on the Bismarck, bringing to an end her short but violent career in World War II. Robert Taylor’s dramatic painting shows Bismarck firing the fatal salvo that sunk The Hood, whose smoke is just visible on the horizon.
