Concorde
It is 24 December 1985 and four Concordes are brought together for a unique event. To celebrate 10 years of Concorde passenger services, British Airways organised a special formation flight. Taking off from Heathrow in turn, the four Concordes proceeded to assemble in a number of different formations whilst doing a circuit around the south coast of England. Signed by up to 5 Concorde pilots Captains Brian Walpole, Captain John Eames, Captain David Leney and Captain Jock Lowe who on this day was Co-Pilot to John Cook - now deceased and Captain Mike Bannister

It is the 4th June 2002. Concorde and the Red Arrows fly in tight formation over Suffolk en route to take part, along with other aircraft, in the Queen’s Jubilee Flypast. At the controls of G-BOAD Concorde are Civil Aviation Authority Chief Test Pilot Jock Reid and British Airways Chief Concorde Pilot and aircraft Commander on the day Captain Mike Bannister. Signed by Red Arrows Team Leader Squadron Leader Carl ‘Spike’ Jepson and Concorde pilot Captain Jock Reid.

May 17th 1943: the thunder of Merlin engines fills the air, shattering the quiet of a Dutch dawn and causing wildfowl to scatter in alarm. Flying at tree-top height the Lancaster of Bill Townsend heads at full throttle towards the coast and the relative safety of the North Sea.

In what became a familiar sight over East Anglia during World War II, RAF de Havilland Mosquitoes head out at low level towards the North Sea. These aircraft are Mosquito B. Mk IVs of No 2 Group, 105 Squadron operating from Horsham St. Faith in the summer of 1942. This edition is fully signed by Flight Lieutenant Geoffrey Derry Perks, DFC. The Artist Proofs are also signed by the RAF’s top scoring bight-fighter pilot, Wing Commander Branse Burbridge DSO and Bar, DFC and Bar.

Overhead Mosquito B Mk IVs of 139 Squadron return low across the North Sea after a successful mission. In moments they will be gone, with only a few miles to navigate before they land at their base at Horsham St Faith in Norfolk. It is 1941, the Battle of Britain is won but the country’s future is still by no means certain, with the Luftwaffe continuing to mount daily raids on cities, factories and airfields. In Stephen Brown’s painting ‘Return of the Few', the legendary Douglas Bader leads his famous Tangmere Wing back to base having been scrambled to intercept a German bomber formation. It is the winter of 1941 and heavy snow has disrupted operations for several days. A break in the weather today has brought blue skies and the opportunity for the ground crew to clear the runway of snow and get the pilots of 92 Squadron airborne. Flt. Lt. Geoffrey Wellum and his fellow fighter pilots are bringing their Spitfires safely home after the third and final sortie of the day. The edition is fully signed by the artist and Sqn. Ldr.
