The Peter Close Military Bronze Collection
 | This gallery features specially commissioned limited edition Bronze Sculptures by the well known artist Peter Close featuring famous military personalities and leaders from an era that shaped our history.
Magnificently finished, each bronze has been painstakingly worked by master-sculptor Peter Close. Using hundreds of authentic photographs for reference, Peter has initially created wonderfully faithful Bronze Sculptures of four of the most famous personalities from World War II - with more to follow.
Intricately worked in clay until totally life-like, each bust is with the greatest of care, individually cold cast in Bronze. When this delicate and lengthy process is complete and the cast is set and removed from the mould, the artist skilfully burnishes each individual Bronze figure by hand to a radient finished patina worthy of the Louvre. Working in his own dedicated studio , the artist Peter Close completes every process on an individual basis, and entirely by hand.

 | Each Bronze is personally engraved with its own unique edition number by the artist, who also engraves his name on the base of every work. Each life-like sculpture is creatively mounted on an individual wooden plinth, displaying what is undoubtedly a unique and quite remarkable collector's piece. Following completion of the last sculpture in the edition, the artist will destroy the original mould to protect the integrity of the edition.
Each prestigious bronze sculpture stands approximately 16" high, weighs in the region of 18lbs / 8 Kgs, and is beautifully and safely displayed within a unique deluxe Presentation box. Designed and created solely for this collection, each Presentation box is an item of timeless quality itself, beautifully complimenting the sculptures. With gold embossing on a striking solid black exterior, and elegantly hand-finished with a soft cushioned interior, each box has been gracefully engineered to provide the durability for lifetime storage. Inside each box, every sculpture is issued with its own uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity containing a full in-depth biography of the personality.
