Nicholas Watts

Motorsports.
Nicholas Watts was born in 1947 near Brands Hatch, where his father regularly took him from an early age. This indoctrination clearly had a profound effect on the young Watts, as he was soon to be channelling his artistic flair into his first ever car commission, a Bugatti Type 37A. He was just 16 years old. Nick's real passion for painting cars however was really ignited when he joined the RAF, during which time he was fortunate enough to experience many great races including his favourite, the Targa Florio.

1963 - 2012

Simon's style was painstakingly intricate and although small in size took ages to complete.
Working mostly in watercolour his style was instantly recognizable and accurate in
the extreme. He was a truly brilliant artist
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
