Neil Hodgson, 2003, World Superbike Champion
Neil Hodgson's total domination during the first half of the 2003 season
saw him leading the |Championship table by a mile. The second half of
the season, however, saw his ever improving team-mate Ruben Xaus challenging
for race wins leading to some great 'Dog Fights' between the two 'Fila
Ducati' riders. The world title came at Round 10, in Assen when Hodgson
came second in race one, and was rounded off with the new champion's victory
in race two. 2004 looks interesting with Hodgson and team-mate Xaus moving
to Moto GP to challenge the likes of Valentino Rossi and old superbike
rival Colin Edwards.
